ROP ERDF 2014-2020 – launched the SEA public consultation

The Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) is a tool for the evaluation of programming choices and planning with the aim of pursuing the objectives of preserving, protecting and improving the quality of the environment, protection of human health and the prudent and rational utilisation of natural resources .
In reference to the Strategic Environmental Assessment of the Regional Operational Programme (ROP) “Objective Investment for growth and employment” – ERDF for the years 2014-2020, the Environmental Report was edited and published in July 2014.
Among the various topics in this paper are considered the possible environmental problems targeted by the different thematic objectives of the ROP, the main environmental thematics identified are:

  • Biodiversity, flora and fauna;
  • Population and human health;
  • Soil, water, air;
  • Waste;
  • Cultural heritage, landscape, material assets.

On July 23 the public consultation for the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) of the new ROP 2014-2020 was launched.
The public consultation is open for 60 days from 23.07.2014, the date of publication of the public BURT.
