The TREASURE Catalogue is out now! Innovative solutions for environmental quality improvement in and around Mediterranean ports

The TREASURE project aims to improve environmental quality in and around Mediterranean port areas, by mitigating and reducing sediment and water pollution.

After identifying a set of environmental challenges affecting their port areas, the project partners worked together to design, launch, and promote a Call for Interest to source and select innovative solutions for environmental remediation.

The Call remained open throughout the last quarter of 2024, and attracted a large number of submissions from both public and private actors, proposing a wide range of novel solutions to improve environmental conditions in Mediterranean port areas.

A total of 59 proposals were received and evaluated by all partners against three main criteria: innovation and maturity, relevance, and impact. Of these, 52 proposals were selected. They were submitted by 47 organisations from the business, academic and applied research sectors, representing 13 countries: Belgium, Denmark, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Serbia, Spain, and the UK.

In June 2025, the sourced solutions were published in the TREASURE Catalogue, now available online as an interactive flipbook.

Currently, transnational testing of these innovative solutions is taking place within mini-labs and multi-governance ecosystems established through the project. Pilot testing activities are being carried out in coordination with environmental data sampling efforts led by TREASURE partners.

The selected solution providers and their technologies are periodically invited to pitch their innovations during in-person and online workshops. Resolvo supported the partnership in managing and implementing the entire process. If you are interested in joining or learning more, get in touch with us!
