SME POWER Interreg Europe project starts in Florence

The kick-off meeting of the Interreg Europe SME POWER project was held in Florence on 10 and 11 September, organised by the Resources Recovery Regional Agency (ARRR) of Tuscany Region, project Lead Partner.

Marco Meacci, President of ARRR Spa and Federica Fratoni, Tuscany Regional Minister for Environment and Soil Protection, opened the meeting.

The working day continued with a study visit to Ermini Adone Srl, a company that has been supported by Tuscan regional funding schemes to improve energy efficiency measures in their production processes.

Partners started to discuss, share their experiences and analyse European funds dedicated to energy efficiency in SMEs. Partners will be analysing public policies for the low carbon economy for non-energy intensive SMEs over the next few months, developing Regional Energy Support Maps, and will be ready to discuss results at the next meeting (Heinola, Finland, February 2020).
