MESEO partners meet in Spain for the kick-off meeting

On 19 December, the MESEO partners met in Spain (Tres Cantos) for the project’s first, official Kick off meeting.

With participation from all project partners and the Project Officer from HADEA, this important first meeting was designed for partners to get to know each other and to go into depth about the various objectives and activities.

The agenda took participants through each project work package (WP). MESEO will start with systems engineering (WP4), before three parallel activities begin to look at system interfaces, standardisation and security (WP5), on-board processing functions (WP6) and the Earth Observation coordination centre and ground processing functions (WP7). These various components will be tested in pilot demonstrations (WP8) related to methane detection and assessment and to crop classification.

Not to be forgotten, alongside all technical WPs, MESEO will run coordination activities, including a focus on Responsible Research and Innovation (WP1-3) and implement activities to ensure effective communication, dissemination and exploitation (WP9-11)

For Resolvo, as Communication Manager, the meeting was also a chance to gather audio-visual content about the project. Watch this space for the videos on “What is MESEO?”, coming soon.
