ADAPTO – Regions adapting to climate change –  is funded in the framework of the second Interreg Europe 2021- 2027 call for proposals. It lasts 4 years, from 1 April 2024 and is led by the Cyprus Energy Agency (CEA).

ADAPTO brings together 8 partners from 6 countries across Europe:

  • Irelanda
  • Lithuania
  • Greece
  • France

Objective of the project

ADAPTO aims to increase territorial resilience to current and future climate change impacts, through interregional exchange on design, development and implementation and monitoring of climate adaptation policy measures.
The specific objectives, designed to achieve this overall aim, are to:
– understand the status quo in each territory, considering content of adaptation strategies (i.e. assessment of risks/vulnerabilities, definition of targets/goals, expertise of entities tasked with adaptation actions);
– use interregional analysis to support identification of Good Practices that can help design and develop assessment, foresight, implementation and monitoring tools;
– build capacity among public authorities and stakeholders to cooperate for improved, multi-level governance of climate adaption;
– design and implement smart, systemic and swift adaptation plans.

The role of Resolvo

Resolvo supported CEA in the preparation phase and will provide support for project management (financial and technical) and methodological development.
