SME instrument: results of 17th December cut-off date

The SME Instrument is part of the Horizon 2020 programme and finances innovative ideas with great market potential. The instrument is divided in three phases, with the aim of transforming disruptive ideas into concrete, innovative solutions with a European and global impact.

Last 17th December was the cut-off date for the presentation of proposals for both Phase 1 and Phase 2.

For the third cut-off date of Phase 1 the European Commission received 2,363 proposals. Only 320 projects met the evaluation standard and 180 will be founded with €13 million for their feasibility studies.

For the second cutt-off date of Phase 2 the European Commissione received 629 proposals. Only 180 received an evaluation above the application threshold and 74 have been selected for funding thanks to €117.6 million.
