Resolvo at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for the national Info-day of the Interreg NEXT MED programme

On 12 March, at the International Conference Hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Rome, the national event of the Interreg NEXT MED programme was held, in which Resolvo participated. The event was opened by institutional speakers, including the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Head of Service XVIII “Coordination and Monitoring of ETC Programmes” of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Director General of the Managing Authority of the Interreg NEXT MED Programme, Director REGIO.D “European Territorial Cooperation, Macro-regions, Implementation of Interreg Programmes” in video-message, Central Director for Development Cooperation Interventions, and finally the Deputy Director of the European Commission Representation in Italy.

The focus of the event was the first call for project funding presented by the National Contact Point, detailing technical and financial aspects for the submission of proposals and evaluation criteria, priorities and types of projects, and the role of the lead partner. The Programme’s vision is to contribute to smart, sustainable and equitable development for all in the Mediterranean basin by supporting balanced, durable and wide-ranging cooperation and multi-level governance. The event highlighted the importance of continued cooperation between the countries of the Mediterranean region (Cyprus, Egypt, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Malta, Palestine, Portugal, Spain, Tunisia, adding for the first time two new countries (Algeria and Turkey), to tackle common challenges together.
