The OPUS project kicked off in Gran Canaria, at the Plataforma Oceanica de Canarias, on 19 and 20 September 2022, the OPUS (Open Universal Science).

On day 1, the European Commission (Unit for Open Science) and the European Research Executive Agency (REA) presented European initiatives on research assessment in the transition to Open Science and changes in assessment of research and researchers to reward the practice of Open Science.

Day 2focused on project technical content, looking at the Open Science State of the Art, the path towards a set of interventions and metrics on Open Science, Pilot actions in Research Performing and Funding Organisations and Policy Recommendation.

A great start to three years of international cooperation to encourage the transition towards Open Science.
