OPEN DAYS 2014: European Week of Regions and Cities

You can now register online to the 108 Brussels-based seminars organised as part of the 12th edition of the European Week of Regions and Cities – OPEN DAYS 2014 (6-9 October). The OPEN DAYS – European Week of Regions and Cities is an annual four-day event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance. The event is organised by the Committee of the Regions and the European Commission’s DG for Regional Policy.

Under the headline ‘Growing together – Smart investment for people’, the programme is organised into three themes:

  1. Connecting regional strategies
  2. Building capacity
  3. Territorial cooperation

Over the years, the OPEN DAYS has grown into the key event on EU Regional Policy. It welcomes some 6000 participants in October each year (local, regional, national and European decision-makers and experts) for more than 100 workshops and debates, exhibitions and networking opportunities.
