INNOVATE UK – SMART

UK based small and medium enterprises carrying out R&D projects can access the SMART funding competition. The SMART programme is managed by INNOVATE UK, with three types of grant available:

• Proof of market – up to 9 months, maximum grant £25.000, funded 60%

• Proof of concept – up to 18 months, maximum grant £100.000, funded 60%

• Development of prototype – up to 24 months, maximum grant £250.000, funded 35%-45% depending on company size

The scheme targets relevant areas of science, engineering and technology that could stimulate economic growth.
The next cut-off date is the 21st of January 2016.
