Project objective
PROSPERO aims to place the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) at the heart of sustainable and dynamic regional development, thereby enhancing socio-economic and environmental well-being. CCIs operate at the intersection of economic growth and social transformation, playing a key role in promoting pluralism, social cohesion, and community empowerment. But how can public policy foster the contribution of CCIs to this multi-faceted development?
PROSPERO supports a broad partnership of public authorities in ensuring that CCIs help make our regions:
- Inclusive and socially resilient: by addressing exclusion and vulnerability, and fostering talent and job creation.
- Sustainable: by making CCIs more environmentally friendly, leveraging CCIs for green growth, and applying the New European Bauhaus (NEB) vision at the local level.
- Smarter: by embracing digitalisation to improve access to cultural products and services, and by helping CCIs adapt to evolving technologies.
