On 19-20 December 2019, Resolvo was with the TANIA project partners in Lahti (Finland) for an international symposium on \u201cNovel environmental remediation techniques and policy instruments<\/a>\u201d. Organised by the Finnish partners from University of Helsinki and Regional Council of P\u00e4ij\u00e4t-H\u00e4me, the symposium hosted a wide audience of speakers and stakeholders from all over Europe, to discuss remediation of contamination through innovative methods. On Day 1, in the congress centre of the Sibelius Hall, former industrial plant transformed into the famous concert hall, the conference developed around three sessions of presentations and panel discussions, covering: \u201cNovel remediation techniques\u201d, \u201cFunding instruments supporting the use of new techniques\u201d, and \u201cPolitical steering instruments in EU countries\u201d.<\/p>\n

The second day saw the TANIA partners and some stakeholders coming together for the final meeting of Phase 1. During the meeting partners, supported by Resolvo, worked on the revision and conclusion of their Action Plans, final outputs of the project, with concrete plans to improve their regional policies supporting novel remediation techniques. These plans are the conclusion of the exchange carried out throughout the last three years.<\/p>\n

The Action Plans will be implemented during Phase 2, which will get started in January 2020 and will last for the next two years. The 8th TANIA Exchange Event represents the end this precious opportunity to exchange experiences, but also the beginning of the period when the fruits of the accomplished work will be reaped.
