Its budget amounts to 2.4 billion euro with 1.7 billion euro coming from the ERDF.<\/p>\n<p>This Programme targets investments in key growth generating areas in Italian less developed and transition regions. It focuses on four priorities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>strengthening research, technological development and innovation<\/li>\n<li>improving access and use of Information and Communication Technologies<\/li>\n<li>helping the country&#8217;s SMEs become more competitive<\/li>\n<li>supporting the shift towards the low carbon economy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Key results to be delivered under the programme include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An increase in enterprises&#8217; collaborative activity in the field of research and innovation<\/li>\n<li>85% coverage of ultra-high speed broadband for 100 Mbps or higher<\/li>\n<li>9% increase in the share of renewable energy consumed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>More information on <a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/regional_policy\/sources\/information\/cohesion-policy-achievement-and-future-investment\/factsheet\/italy_en.pdf\">Cohesion Policy and Italy<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 25th of June the European Commission adopted the 2014-2020 Operational Programme \u00a0OP for Enterprise and Competitiveness in Italy.
