SIS-RRI\u00a0 is an International event aimed at setting an agenda to promote a true cross- fertilization between\u00a0science and society<\/strong>. This can be achieved through a fruitful and rich dialogue and close cooperation between science and society stakeholders.<\/p>\n

In this context, \u2018Science with and for Society\u2019 is intended to further develop, disseminate and support good Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI)<\/em>\u00a0best practices across Europe.<\/p>\n

In a nutshell, RRI is a package aiming to better engage society in research and innovation activities throughout the 6 following key areas:<\/p>\n

– Public Engagement
\n–\u00a0\u00a0 Gender Equality
\n–\u00a0\u00a0 Science Education
\n–\u00a0\u00a0 Ethics
\n–\u00a0\u00a0 Open Science
\n–\u00a0\u00a0 Governance<\/p>\n

The Conference will be organised under the auspices of the Italian EU Presidency, and will take place in Rome from 19th to 21st of November 2014.<\/p>\n
