Resolvo recently participated in the first demonstration events<\/strong> and stakeholder workshop<\/strong> of the GEXTRECS project<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

GEXTRECS is a research project funded by EUSPA<\/strong> (European Union Agency for the Space Programme) that aims to develop an integrated GOVSATCOM<\/strong> (Governmental Satellite Communications) Crisis Management Service Pack <\/strong>designed to provide secure and reliable satellite communications in disaster and emergency situations.<\/p>\n

When traditional communication systems are compromised, such as in the aftermath of earthquakes or floods, satellite technology<\/strong> offers a vital solution for maintaining connectivity and supporting rapid disaster response efforts.<\/p>\n

The initial results of the GEXTRECS research have now been simulated and validated during the demonstration events<\/strong> based on two\u00a0disaster scenarios: a land-based natural disaster<\/strong> and a maritime emergency<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Resolvo took part in the land-based demonstration and stakeholder workshop, held at the Training Base in Weeze, Germany, while the maritime demonstration took place on a vessel in Vigo, Spain. The workshop gathered stakeholders and end-users to assess the system\u2019s initial performance, usability, and acceptance under realistic conditions.<\/p>\n

The entire event (organised from 14th to 19th November 2024) marked a major milestone for the GEXTRECS project<\/strong>, showcasing significant progress in delivering innovative GOVSATCOM solutions<\/strong> for disaster response.”<\/p>\n

The final GEXTRECS <\/strong>Crisis Management Service Pack<\/strong> will be simulated and validated for both scenarios at the end of next year during the second demonstration events and stakeholder workshop.<\/p>\n
