The first plenary session of the European Commission Community of Practice (CoP) on Industry 5.0<\/a> was held in Brussels on 16th<\/sup> October 2024. Resolvo is a member of the CoP, which has just finished its pilot phase and is getting ready for a full schedule of activities in 2025.<\/p>\n

Industry 5.0 envisions an industrial future that balances technological advancement with human-centric values, emphasising the importance of resilience, sustainability and well-being of workers. In order to support concrete uptake of this vision, a central part of industrial competitiveness, the European Commission created the CoP as a platform for stakeholders and Industry 5.0 pioneers to share good practice and co-create initiatives to support Industry 5.0 implementation.<\/p>\n

The first plenary session in Brussels came following the approval of the final report on the CoP pilot phase and with the prototype for Industry 5.0 Learning and Assessment Tool (tested in previous months, including by Resolvo). The session included a high-level panel debate, a presentation of the new \u201cERA Industrial Technologies Road Map for Human-Centric Research and Innovation for the Manufacturing Sector\u201d and a series of collaborative sessions to help define the next steps for the CoP.<\/p>\n

While the concept of Industry 5.0 is still relatively new and not universally embraced, it is in line with many recent EU policy developments and is well aligned with the priorities of the new Commission for a sustainable, innovative and competitive European industry. We expect new opportunities for Industry 5.0 support in the near future. Resolvo is proud to be part of this effort and looking forward to the next steps.<\/p>\n
