{"id":14998,"date":"2023-10-20T14:48:51","date_gmt":"2023-10-20T12:48:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.resolvo.eu\/?p=14998"},"modified":"2023-10-20T14:48:51","modified_gmt":"2023-10-20T12:48:51","slug":"beyond-the-arctic-circle-mae-partners-meet-in-bodo-and-andoy-the-european-aerospace-island","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.resolvo.eu\/en\/beyond-the-arctic-circle-mae-partners-meet-in-bodo-and-andoy-the-european-aerospace-island\/","title":{"rendered":"Beyond the Arctic Circle: MAE partners meet in Bod\u00f8 and And\u00f8y, the \u201cEuropean aerospace island\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From 3<sup>rd<\/sup> to 5<sup>th<\/sup> October 2023, the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> interregional meeting of Interreg Europe project <a href=\"https:\/\/www.resolvo.eu\/en\/?s=mae\">MAE<\/a> took part in Bod\u00f8 and And\u00f8y (Norway), hosted by the partner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nfk.no\/om-fylkeskommunen\/engelsk-informasjon\/\">Nordland County Council<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Project partners had the opportunity to learn more about the national and regional strategy for boosting the aerospace sector with environmental and social sustainability concerns in mind.<\/p>\n<p>After the opening session at the headquarters of the <a href=\"https:\/\/luftfartstilsynet.no\/en\/\">Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority<\/a> in Bod\u00f8, partners moved north to And\u00f8y, known as the \u201cEuropean aerospace island\u201d. For over 60 years, And\u00f8y has been at the forefront of the EU aerospace scene. Its privileged position, overlooking the sea and providing key access to polar and solar-synchronous orbits, make it the perfect space launch site in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Here, the MAE partners visited the company <a href=\"https:\/\/andoyaspace.no\/\">And\u00f8ya Space<\/a> and the soon-to-be completed <a href=\"https:\/\/andoyaspace.no\/what-we-do\/spaceport\/\">spaceport<\/a>, a newly built launch facility that will provide services and opportunities for SMEs active in the New Space sector.<\/p>\n<p>They could also participate in the launch and discussion of the \u201cStrategic Framework And\u00f8y\u201d. This is an integrated, multilevel strategy co-developed by national, regional and local stakeholders, with the objective to build a robust ecosystem that can help And\u00f8y, Nordland Region and the Country seize the opportunities offered by the New Space sector.<\/p>\n<p>Resolvo participated in the study visits and moderated interregional discussion at the meeting, helping the consortium to fine-tune ongoing project activities related to mapping local aerospace ecosystems, and to shape upcoming ones dealing with dialogue with SMEs and exchange of Good Practices.<\/p>\n<p>Next stop for MAE will be in Forl\u00ec (Italy) in spring 2024.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From 3rd to 5th October 2023, the 2nd interregional meeting of Interreg Europe project MAE took part in Bod\u00f8 and And\u00f8y (Norway), hosted by the partner Nordland County Council.
