SME Instrument-Phase 2: statistics after the second cut-off date

The SME instrument is part of the Horizon 2020 programme and finances innovative ideas with great market potential. The instrument is divided in three phases, with the aim of transforming disruptive ideas into concrete, innovative solutions with a European and global impact.

For the first cut-off date of Phase 2 (9 October 2014) Executive Agency for SMEs received 580 proposals.

As for the Phase 1 the biggest number of proposals came from Italy (70), followed by Spain (69) and United Kingdom (61).

The results of the evaluation should be available in April 2015.

The next deadline for phase 2 is on 17 December 2014.
