First ETC Call: 620 applications submitted for Central Europe

The Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE Programme has received 620 applications after closing step 1 of its first call.

Following administrative checks and qualitative assessments, the programme member states will jointly decide which proposals will be invited to participate in step 2 of the call (decision expected September 2015).

Italy is the country with most projects presented as lead partner (184), followed by Slovenia and Poland.

The objective 1, cooperating on innovation received the largest number of applications (258), while priority 2 low-carbon strategies received 211 , followed by 116 for natural and cultural resources and 35 received for transport.
